Hello from Eau Claire!

Hi everyone!
It's the start of a beautiful weekend in Wisconsin! Joel and I will be celebrating our 34th anniversary this weekend by hiking in Hoffman Hills. We haven't been there for years ... but we used to go there a lot when the boys were young, typically on the way to pick up the pumpkins! This time we will be joined by Scout and some friends. The weather and colors should be great.
Scout and Joel have been out doing a little bit of hunting with Ray Hanson and his dog Jenny. Not a lot of birds to be seen yet ... but they love watching the dogs work. Scout comes home and camps out until he recovers for round two.
We got an email from Scout's breeder last week saying that he has some puppies ready for an October 21st pickup. We gave it serious thought but decided to wait until the spring if we do anything. We remembered how fun it was to have Becca and Kipper. Two dogs are heaven!
Days are busy getting the house and yard ready for winter, work and taking time each day to take a breath and thank the Good Lord for this precious family!
