Presenting Tiger & Lily!

Dear Family,
As you can see we have adopted two calico kitties. They were rescued at 6 wks. of age last summer and have been fostered since then. They are sisters but very different from each other. Tiger (left) is small, predominantly black with orangish spots that look like stripes, while Lily is a dilute calico & predominantly gray, with peachy spots. During the first week we had them confined to a bedroom to get used to their new environment and us. They eagerly searched the downstairs when we opened the door after that week. Lily is more social & now allows us to pet her while Tiger accepts treats but still is rather skittish. The hissing and growling has stopped--- thank goodness! They are very quiet but playful, & we've had no sleep disturbances yet!
After the wedding, our summer was filled with grilling on the patio, at least a dozen outdoor concerts/picnics, farmers' markets, a visit from Hans' mom, a couple of nights in Door Co., & attending a Brewers game & a preseason Packers game. This all means that I didn't get to all of my intended projects once again!
It's hard to believe that summer is winding down even though we are back to 60's for a high temp! I am looking forward to some subbing again, so we will see what unfolds. I am also looking forward to visiting the Ft. Collins gang in mid September.
As you've probably heard, the Favre saga continues. Green Bay plays in Minnesota on 10/5 (my birthday!), & then on 11/1, it's the #4 purple jersey in Green Bay! Halloween costumes could get pretty interesting this year!
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
Love,
Susan & Family
