Hello, Family!
Here are a few photos from our trip earlier in January. The cruise was 8 days of relaxation, way too good food, beautiful beaches & sights, great entertainment, and meeting people from all over. The pictures show us in St. Kitts ( where the Caribbean & Atlantic meet), a French beach in St. Martin (clothing optional!), an example of classical music that we enjoyed aboard ship, and the first elegant night at our table in the dining rm. The other island we visited (not pictured) was Tortola which we found to be very beautiful. After touring the island (which was like a roller coaster ride), we spent the afternoon at a beach with at least 50 entertaining pelicans diving into the bay. Needless to say we did not want to return to the frigid below zero temps that awaited us!
After returning to reality in Green Bay, it was business as usual. A week ago we moved Johanna back to our home just before she went back to school. It's amazing how much she accumulated in a little over a year in her apt.! She will be with us for about 1 1/2 years as she finishes her teaching certificate. We're all enjoying spending more time together. Her first week of school is done, and she likes all of her classes. At the end of Feb., she will start more field experience in the schools. She was recommended to replace one of her 3 credit classes with an experience in a nearby school district but is waiting to get more information.
I have done a little bit of subbing this month and have 4 days scheduled in February before and after going to CO for a visit. I look forward to spending some time with Dad, Mom, & the Chapins from 2/6 -2/12. Johanna & I are going to see "Wicked" next week at the Fox Cities PAC. I saw it in Chicago a couple of years ago and am anxious to see it again.
Hansie continues to work for Guckkenheimer , the food service at Humana Ins. Recently he got an email from the president of the company earning acclaim for his omelets! He also got trained for selling Cutko Cutlery as a side job.
Hans has been busy joining home businesses as an affiliate & getting ready to advertise their websites with a new internet marketing group ready to launch Feb. 2. He also has been selling energy efficient heaters and doing energy inspections. If and when the housing market gets up & going, he may even start selling real estate again.
Enough rambling for now-
Love to all of you!
Susan & Family
